The European leg of Accellera’s Design and Verification Conference (DVCon) will have keynotes that focus on the energy-efficient computer design with talks on the European Processor Initiative (EPI) and optimizing artificial intelligence designs.

Taking place on November 14th and 15th in Munich, it will be the tenth anniversary of DVCon Europe’s formation and will feature Philippe Notton, CEO and founder of SiPearl, and Michaela Blott, senior fellow at AMD Research, as the two keynoters.

Notton will explain how SiPearl, the private company formed from the EPI work is building the energy-efficient microprocessor that is intended to power Europe’s exascale supercomputers.

Blott will focus on building pervasive and sustainable AI and the optimization requirements this sector needs to address not only performance scalability, but also a reduction in carbon footprint.

“Both keynotes are a great match with the program and scope of DVCon Europe, and we are really happy to have two industry experts presenting their vision in these emerging areas,” said Martin Barnasconi, general chair of the DVCon Europe steering committee.

Registration for the event is now open with reduced rates until 1st October.
