Mentor and Siemens Digital Industries Software have assembled a range of special resources to help engineers remain productive during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mentor is offering free 30-Day On-Demand Training across a number of its tools. The training is provided alongside test-drive access to the software. As of May, over 25,000 people worldwide had taken advantage of these options.

The company’s PADS group is meanwhile offering free 12-month licenses to the Pro Student Edition of its popular printed circuit board (PCB) suite. The licenses are available to both students and teachers to help them hone their skills in PCB design while working or studying at home due to Covid-19.

Mentor Webinars

Mentor has also organized several special series of free webinars across its products range. You can learn more details about those addressing specific products at the links below. The webinars can be followed both live and on-demand. Highlights include:

  • Analog Mixed-Signal (AMS) Verification: This series of webinars is being updated every two weeks and features overviews of Mentor’s Symphony Analog Mixed-Signal, Analog FastSPICE, and Solido technologies.
  • Catapult High-Level Synthesis Live Virtual Seminar: How to Use HLS to Optimize Your AI/ML, Vision and Smart IoT Applications for Performance and Power/Energy: This virtual seminar series (usually organized as in-person events) begins with a live 2.5-hour session on May 19, 2020 and will continue on May 21, 2020. Sign-up for live or on-demand access is now open.
  • What’s New in Functional Verification: This five-part webinar series is providing an overview of Mentor’s Functional Verification tools and demonstrates how each can be used to uncover bugs early in the verification process. Each webinar is made up of two half-hour presentations followed by a Q&A for live participants.
  • Tessent DFT: This webinar series covers several design-for-test related topics. The webinars are conducted by in-house experts and guest industry partners, and topics covered include automotive IC test, faster silicon bring-up, improved productivity, and volume scan diagnosis. Engineers can attend live or later on-demand, although the live sessions include an interactive Q&A and a group chat.
