Accellera publishes draft of CDC standard
Accellera Systems Initiative has published for public review an early version of the organization’s proposal for a standard approach to communicating clock-domain crossing (CDC) information across tools.
Version 0.1 of the CDC Working Group’s draft standard is now available for download from the Accellera site. The main aim is to ease SoC integration where in-house and externally purchased IPs have been verified by CDC tools from different vendors. If vendors follow the standard, the collateral material they produce to identify domain crossings that need special treatment will not need to be translated by hand by the integration team.
The public review is open through December 31, 2023. The CDC Working Group invites and encourages the community to participate in the review and provide feedback through Accellera’s Clock Domain Crossing Community Forum.
