That DAC touchstone, the Gary Smith EDA ‘What to see’ list, is now live and the company’s analysts have also lined up two major presentations at the conference.

This year’s lists gives a couple of well-earned nods to the PCB tool sector, one that has seen a lot of busy innovation over the last two years but often does not get the recognition it deserves. IC layout is also well represented and the team has, as ever, sought to highlight good new tools and ideas from outside ‘The Big Three’.

You can view GSEDA’s picks in full here.

As ever, the list is accompanied by a more detailed Research Viewpoint, available for purchase at $500, and there is also a set of wallcharts (free-to-download) mapping out the various vendor competences.

GSEDA’s Laurie Balch and Mary Olsson will present twice at this year’s DAC.

They headline the Sunday night (June 5) kickoff from 5pm in Grand Ballroom G of the Austin Convention Center. On Monday, the usual exhibition launcher, EDA Industry Trends and What’s Hot at DAC?, begins at 10am in the DAC Pavilion (Booth #1839).
