The return of the CEO Outlook

The ESD Alliance (formerly the EDA Consortium) is relaunching the annual CEO Outlook panel, with this year’s event taking place in Mountain View on Thursday, April 6.

The panel will bring together CEOs from four of the leading companies in the electronic system design ecosystem. They are:

  • Aart de Geus, CEO, Synopsys
  • Lip-Bu Tan, president and CEO, Cadence Design Systems
  • Simon Segars, CEO, ARM
  • Wally Rhines, chairman and CEO, Mentor Graphics

The format will be much as in years past. Each executive will offer a brief opening statement on the trends, opportunities and threats facing the design community. This will be followed by a group discussion, moderated by Semiconductor Engineering editor-in-chief Ed Sperling. The evening will be rounded off with an open Q&A.

The CEO Outlook begins at 6:30PM and runs until 8:45PM. It is being hosted this year by Synopsys in Building B of its offices at 690 E. Middlefield Road, Mountain View, CA 94043.

This has traditionally been a popular event on the design calendar and space is limited, so you are strongly advised to register in advance if possible.

The CEO Outlook is free-of-charge to members of the ESD Alliance. Non-members pay $25. Admission includes dinner and drinks. Registration is now open and available here.
