The role of the ESD Alliance
The ESD Alliance represents members’ interests across a range of technical, marketing, economic and legislative issues as they affect the entire design ecosystem. It acts as the central voice to communicate and promote the value of the semiconductor design ecosystem as a vital component of the global electronics industry.
Under the SEMI umbrella, its charter includes responsibilities that cover industry advocacy – global trade policies, industry talent needs, and environment, health and safety (EHS) concerns, in particular – and workforce development. It also plays a major role in industry standards initiatives and market research reporting. Conferences, trade shows and other industry events are also among its priorities.
