SEMI summit brings together chip makers, supply chain and end users

SEMI’s inaugural Technology Unites Global Summit, which begins on Monday 15 February, brings together players from the global microelectronics supply chain, manufacturing, and end-user communities online. The event combines discussion forums with industry leaders, technical content, and an online exhibition.

It begins with an Executive Forum featuring some of the industry’s biggest names. The first session, on digital transformation, will include contributions from Ajit Manocha, President & CEO, SEMI; Luc Van den hove, CEO, IMEC; Sabine Herlitschka, CEO and CTO, Infineon Technologies Austria; Axel Fischer, Vice President Foundry Business EMEA, Samsung Semiconductor Europe; Maria Marced, President, TSMC Europe; Simon Seggars, CEO, Arm; and more.

A session later in the day will focus on edge AI and high-performance computing, with contributions from, among others, Emmanuel Sabonnadiere, CEO Leti of CEA Tech; Mukesh Khare, Vice President, IBM Research; Maurice Geraets, Co-CEO, NXP Netherlands; Changze Liu, CEO, Huawei Technolgies R&D Belgium; Wally Rhines, President and CEO, Cornami; and Rüdiger Dorn, Industry Lead Hightech & Semiconductors, Google Corporation.

The last session of the day’s Executive forum will focus on issues related to the semiconductor supply chain, including the availability of technology experts, sustainability in the semiconductor supply chain; sustainability and efficiency; and how to fight climate change in the industry.

There will also be an online exhibition during the Monday session, running from 5pm to 7PM Central European Time (CET). From Tuesday though to Friday, the online exhibit will run from 9AM to 11AM CET and 5PM to 7PM CET, to suit visitors from Asia, Europe and the US.

Other forums during the week will cover advanced packaging, smart manufacturing, advanced technologies and hardware for next generation computing, MEMs and image sensing, fab management, how to run a start-up, smart mobility, electronic system design, and medical technology.
