Mentor adds rapid RFQ to Capital suite

Wire harness margins are tight. Responses to an RFQ still need to be quick. A further factor here is that players range from large multinationals to small boutique players.

Mentor Graphics has added a new module to its existing Capital suite aimed at making that happen across businesses of all sizes.
Capital Harness TVM generates detailed wire harness manufacturing process and cost data specific to the design, factory and cost model for each project.

As you would expect from a native Capital application, it can pull data from any other tool in the suite. However, it can also harvest information from Mentor’s VeSys tools, and read that data in multiple formats, including KBL.

Capital is an electrical system and wire harness design environment for the automotive, aerospace and defense industries.VeSys is its mid-market sister.

Jeremy Tibbett, director of engineering, LEONI Region Americas, is already a fan.
