A collaboration between three French companies has resulted in the launch of an FPGA prototyping system that is intended to provide emulation of designs with up to 25 million ASIC gates.

Reflex CES teamed up with Flexras and and Adacsys, the winner of the Sophia Antipolis Microelectronics (SAME 2012) startup award, to provide software support for its emulation platform, which is based around Xilinx Virtex-7 FPGAs.

Flexras has provided the tools to partition the design between the three individual FPGAs on the FPP25 board. Adacsys has developed functional verification software to test designs that are downloaded to the board.

“Our collaboration with established software suppliers like Flexras and Adacsys and our expertise and experience developing circuit boards using FPGAs and high speed interfaces allows us to confidently enter the mainstream FPGA-based prototyping market with a solution that improves the verification of ASICs and SoCs, their associated IP cores and applications software,” said Sylvain Neveu, Reflex CES co-founder and COO.
