The 2012 events calendar continues to fill out and one of the latest major additions is this year’s Common Platform Technology Forum. The annual West Coast showcase for the IBM-Samsung-GLOBALFOUNDRIES foundry alliance will be held at the Santa Clara Convention Center on Wednesday, March 14th.

Full program details will be gradually announced over the coming weeks, but the early line-up is confirmed to include sessions on 28, 20 and 14nm processes; innovation beyond 14nm; and 450mm wafer manufacturing. Registration is already open here.

Some 20 members of Common Platform’s ecosystem – including the ‘Big Three’ EDA vendors and IP giant ARM – will be exhibiting alongside a day-long calendar of technical sessions.

Given the 3/14 date, the event will also mark Pi Day (geddit) with a range of tasty treats around lunchtime.

In the run-up to the forum, Tech Design Forum will be cooperating with the Common Platform companies to run some exclusive interviews and technical articles that preview major themes to be discussed next month.

To make sure you receive these exclusive previews, make sure your Tech Design Forum registration is up to date.
